What moves the price up or down

How many data sources

Two clean spreadsheets is a different job from five systems that disagree with each other.

How messy the data is

Cleanup is often the biggest share of a data project. A quick look at samples tells us a lot.

Access to your tools

Modern apps with good export options are faster to work with than older or locked-down systems.

Ongoing vs. one-time

A one-off report costs less than something that has to run reliably every day for years.

Common questions

Why ranges instead of exact prices? Two projects that sound the same can be very different underneath. A dashboard built on one clean spreadsheet might take a few days; the same dashboard built on three systems that don’t agree with each other can take weeks. The free call lets us look at the specifics and give you a firm number.

Do you charge hourly or by project? Most work is quoted as a fixed price or a not-to-exceed cap, so you know the maximum up front. Small, open-ended tasks and ongoing support are billed hourly at the rate above.

How does payment work? For projects, typically half up front and half on delivery. Larger projects can be split into milestones.

What if my budget is smaller than these ranges? Tell us anyway. We can often find a smaller first step that delivers most of the value, or point you to an off-the-shelf tool that would work fine.

Are software or hosting costs included? No. Any third-party subscriptions (like Power BI licenses or a cloud database) are paid directly by you, so you keep control of them. We always aim for the lowest-cost option, and many small projects need no new software at all.

Prices listed are estimates for typical small-business projects and are not a binding offer.
